Export Customer /Vendor/ Payroll List and Transactions

  • In QuickBooks software, open Customer /Vendor/ Payroll Center.
  • Press drop down on Excel option and select:
    • Export Customer/Vendor/Employee list to export customer/vendor/employee data such as name, balances and contact information.
    • Export Transactions to export transactions (either by name or transaction type).
  • In the Export window, select whether you want to update an existing file or create a new file.
  • Click the Export button. QuickBooks opens MS Excel and you can edit the information as per requirement.

  • Open QuickBooks.
  • Go to List Menu. Then select Item List.
  • On Excel dropdown, Choose Export All Items.
  • In the Export window, select whether you want to update an existing file or create a new file.

Export QuickBooks Reports To Excel

The Excel which is exported from QuickBooks includes data like:

  • Data in the report, as it is displayed on the screen.

To export QuickBooks Reports to Excel, open the report in QuickBooks that you want to export.

  • Select Create New Worksheet or Update Existing Worksheet from the dropdown of Excel option.
  • Choose what you want to do with the report in Send Report to Excel
  • Press the Advanced button to see other available options for the exported report.
  • Click OK. To verify, the exported report will show Header information.
  • It does not, then go to the Printing options section, If you are using a newer version of MS Excel and ensure that the On Printed report and screen radio button is selected.
  • Hit the Export QuickBooks will open MS Excel. You can edit your data as per your requirement.
